Now that the results are out what do you do?

Firstly DON’T PANIC.

The HEU will be closed for ONE WEEK and will be open on SATURDAY 7th FEBRUARY.

This year entry to higher education institutions is now centralized and can be done ONLINE using the HECAS system. The website is www.hecas.edu.bn but please bear in mind, this website has yet to be launched and will only be available in the 2nd week of February.

Instructions on how to apply through this system will be out very soon so watch this space.

So what do you do now?

What you need to do now is to look out for advertisements on courses available at UBD, UNISSA, ITB for the local higher education institutions.

For those applying for the MOE scholarship for first degree programmes, you will also have to apply through HECAS as well so start looking for courses under the scholarship list and find a university overseas.

If you want to apply to do a course in a UK university, you will need to apply via UCAS. In order to enter the UCAS system, you will need a buzzword from the HEU. Before we can give you the buzzword you must show us a good personal statement and do your research on the universities and courses you want to apply to. Form A and Form B done during VISION will be needed here.

If you want to apply for HND and DIPLOMA through the Scholarship Unit in MOE you will need to go to MOE to collect the paper form to be filled and handed in before the 28th of February.

Those wanting to apply to KUPUSB can go to the College University to pick up the forms as soon as the advertisement for courses comes out.

Once again, HEU is closed from 31st January - 5th February. Consultations with your Higher Education Advisers as well as the buzzword can only be obtained on SATURDAY 7th FEBRUARY 2009.

We will update you very soon with more details of the HECAS system. Till then, do your research carefully.

Lastly Congratulations to those who received excellent results and worked hard throughout their years in Maktab Duli!
